Amy has more than 25 years of electoral and advocacy experience managing campaigns across the country in support of public education, conservation and the environment, and protecting the right to vote.

Amy spent almost 10 years at the National Education Association as an advocate for educators and public education. As the Associate Director and manager in the Campaigns and Elections division at the NEA Amy oversaw the staff and strategy of the Association’s member electoral communications for 2016 and the independent electoral campaigns at both the federal and state level in the 2012 and 2014 cycles. Amy also oversaw the political and advocacy budgets for the 3-million-member union.

Prior to joining NEA Amy worked on conservation and other environmental quality issues managing ballot campaigns, independent expenditures and advocacy efforts across the country. Amy worked at Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund and was the first full-time campaign manager at the League of Conservation Voters in 2001. Prior to joining the League of Conservation Voters Amy worked as a senior advisor for The Nature Conservancy helping secure more than 300 million public dollars in statewide and local conservation efforts across the country.

Amy is a 1991 graduate of George Washington University with a BA in political communication. She and her husband have two, great, funny kids and live in DC.
